Free Subway Cookies
Posted by on July 31, 2012
Did you know you can get a free subway cookie on the back of every subway receipt? You just have to go to tellsubway.com and fill out a survey and then it generates a validation code which you can use on your next visit to get a free subway cookie. You don’t need to make a purchase.
The thing is, the validation codes aren’t very unique. Here’s how they work.
This is the front of the receipt. Take your receipt to tellsubway.com type in the 4 digit store ID at the bottom of your receipt. Then you are required to fill in the date and time of your receipt along with a short survey rating your experience from 1-10. You can do this once per 24 hours per email address.
The system then generates a 14 digit code that is used to redeem your subway cookie.
The numeric code looks like this: XX-XXXX-MMDD-HHMM
The first two digits are your overall rating of the store from 1-10. The second four digits are the store’s ID number. The next four digits is the date (two digit month, two digit date). The final four digits is the time (24 hour time).
The code is popped up immediately after completing the survey. Email address verification is not required. Nor does the system check to make sure there was a transaction at the time specified. Filling out the survey isn’t necessary. As long as the store ID, time and date match your receipt, you have a free cookie. Usually they don’t even bother to check the time and date.

LOL you would.

Ooh yeah for sure.
OK then next time I visit Subway I will do this. I love their oatmeal raisin cookies.
So, the codes now have an extra digit in them: XX-XXXX-0-MMDD-HHMM.
Note the zero before the MMDD. Currently I’ve only been getting this set as “0″, but this might be different for others, or change in the future.
my code is (any number from 1 to 10)-XXXXX-0-MMDD-HHMM for my country where store codes are 5 digits.
example code: 07-54321-0-1228-2359 for rating =7, store code=54321, date is 28 december and time is 23:59.
